B.C.’s South Coast under rainfall warning as ‘atmospheric river’ approaches

Surroundings Canada has upgraded a climate alert for portions of B.C.’s South Coast to a rainfall caution.

The caution applies to Metro Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast and Howe Sound. The Fraser Valley, Whistler and japanese, western and central Vancouver Island stay beneath a different climate commentary.

The nationwide climate company is forecasting between 75 and 150 millimetres of rain to fall inside a 48-hour window beginning Friday morning.

The heavy rain is anticipated to reach with a couple of frontal methods loaded with moisture from an “atmospheric river” flowing off the Pacific Ocean, consistent with Surroundings Canada.
