Beatles album cover photographer Robert Freeman dies at 82

LONDON — Photographer Robert Freeman, who helped outline the picture of The Beatles with one of the most band’s best-known album covers, has died elderly 82.

A former photojournalist, Freeman shot the black-and-white quilt for the 1963 album “With The Beatles,” picturing the Fab 4’s faces in part-shadow. He additionally photographed the covers of “Beatles For Sale,” ‘’Assist!” and “Rubber Soul.”
