Tyler Duncan rides a career-best 61 to a 2-shot lead at Sea Island
Tyler Duncan holed out from the 8th fairway for eagle Friday and wound up with the most efficient rating at the PGA Excursion, a Nine-under 61 that staked him to a two-shot lead going into the weekend on the RSM Vintage.
Duncan added 4 birdies at the entrance 9 of the Beach route at Sea Island and went out in 29. His ultimate birdie got here after a tee shot to 7 toes at the 17th hollow, and he stored par from eight toes at the final.
He was once at 14-under 128, two pictures forward of Sanderson Farms winner Sebastian Munoz (63), Rhein Gibson (64) and D.J. Trahan, whose 63 got here at the Plantation Path.
Duncan’s earlier splendid rating was once 63 every of the final two years on the John Deere Vintage.
