Elderly lemur missing from San Francisco zoo found at a playground

An aged, endangered ring-tailed lemur stolen from the San Francisco zoo previous this week has been discovered and returned safely to his house, police mentioned on Thursday.

Maki, a 21-year-old male lemur, used to be found out lacking on Wednesday morning, in a while sooner than the zoo opened to guests. Police discovered proof of a pressured access to the enclosure.

SFPD on Friday afternoon mentioned they arrested a suspect within the housebreaking – or kidnapping, as it’s been known as at the Twitter account created for the persona Maki the Lemur. The dept mentioned it had explanation why to imagine a 30-year previous guy who used to be arrested on an unrelated subject used to be hooked up to the incident.

In 2000, two youngsters had been arrested for stealing two koalas – seven-year-old Leanne and her mom, Pat, 15 – from the zoo. The 2 koalas, described as “the cutest issues you have got ever noticed”, had been discovered safely taking part in on the youngsters’ house.
