Iran plane crash: 'At least seven dead' near Tehran

A minimum of seven other folks have died in a shipment aircraft crash close to the Iranian capital, Tehran, media have reported.

The Boeing 707 reportedly hit a construction whilst seeking to land at Fath airport in Karaj, west of Tehran.

The Fars information company mentioned 16 other folks had been on board and one survivor has thus far been discovered.

The aircraft “overshot the runway all through its touchdown”, Reza Jafarzadeh, a spokesman for Iran’s aviation organisation, instructed broadcaster IRIB.

Officers are proceeding to seek for our bodies within the wreckage.

A spokesman for Iran’s civil aviation mentioned the aircraft belonged to Kyrgyzstan, whilst Kyrgyzstan’s Manas airport mentioned it used to be operated by way of Iran’s Payam Air.
