ROME — Luciano De Crescenzo, an Italian creator, actor and director, has died in Rome after being hospitalized for a couple of days. He was once 90.
The publishing space Mondadori introduced his demise on Thursday.
Born in Naples on Aug. 20, 1928, De Crescenzo won famed in 1977 together with his best-seller “Così parlò Bellavista” (”Thus spoke Bellavista”), a selection of anecdotes about his loved Naples.
Over time, De Crescenzo was an the world over a hit creator. His books offered virtually 20 million copies in Italy and in another country and have been translated in 25 nations.
De Crescenzo was once in particular a hit in turning in philosophy to most people together with his books. Within the 1980s, he debuted as actor in “Il pap’occhio,” (”Within the Pope’s Eye”), a comedy directed by way of Renzo Arbore and starring Oscar-winning actor Roberto Benigni.
