U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have reached a deal to droop a Turkish army offensive in northern Syria inside 120 hours.
The deal is designed to permit Kurdish forces to withdraw from a delegated secure zone at the northern border.
“All army operations below Operation Peace Spring shall be paused, and Operation Peace Spring shall be halted completely on crowning glory of the withdrawal,” Pence advised newshounds in Turkey.
Turkish troops and Turkish-backed Syrian combatants introduced their offensive towards Kurdish forces in northern Syria per week in the past, two days after Trump abruptly introduced he used to be retreating the U.S. from the world.
Trump congratulated the pair in a tweet.
